Riding Lights Theatre Company are touring the UK with a new theatre production, commissioned by Operation Noah, that aims to educate and inspire new Christian audiences to take action on climate change. Twenty Anglican bishops have just released a statement entitled The World is our Host for Good Friday, which calls Churches to urgent prayer and action for climate justice and ‘sets a new agenda on climate change for the 85 million-strong Anglican Communion.’ Operation Noah welcomes this strong and positive statement, with its clear emphasis on the need for practical and prayerful action by Christians everywhere. Operation Noah is part of the Climate Coalition’s For the Love of … campaign. This is a great way to get the climate change message across through your church communities in an accessible way. There are online and downloadable tools available to get people thinking and talking about climate change, and to demonstrate that they care deeply about this issue. The campaign is designed to reach out to new audiences, in a positive way, who might not yet be engaged in the importance and urgency of acting on climate change. Read more

Operation Noah hosted an ecumenical climate service before the ‘Time to Act’ national climate march on Saturday, 7 March, at St Mary le Strand Church. As party leaders made pledges to tackle climate change ahead of the election in May, civil society – including the faith community – was marching to say that the time for words and promises is over, that now is the time to act.
