On Saturday 29 June 2019 we will be holding our annual Operation Noah Supporters’ Day, with the heading of ‘Climate Emergency: A Christian Response of Faith, Hope and Urgency’.

We are very pleased to announce that Hannah Malcolm, winner of the Church Times’ Theology Slam will be our keynote speaker this year. Hannah is the Coordinator for God and the Big Bang, a national project helping children, young people and teachers engage with the dialogue between science and faith. She holds an undergraduate and master’s degree in Theology, and her research has focused on Eco-Theology and the role of Christianity in public life, particularly in South/East Asia. Prior to moving to Manchester she lived and worked at Hilfield Friary, which was the first recipient of the Eco Church Gold Award in the UK. She is passionate about equipping Christians to act on the findings of environmental science.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the exciting developments in the Bright Now campaign, which calls on UK Churches to divest from fossil fuels and invest in clean alternatives.

The annual Supporters’ Day is a great chance to get to know and inspire one another and share ideas on how to take action on climate change in our churches, locally and on a national level.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
