Free training for Christian climate campaigners

Date posted: 10 October 2017

We know that it’s often individuals who play a crucial role in mobilising their local churches and communities to take action on climate change. That’s why we’ve partnered with several charities this year including Christian Aid and CAFOD for a second year of ACT Communities.

ACT Communities trains individuals to develop as effective local or national campaigners for Christian action on climate change. Between January and December 2018, ACT provides an opportunity to connect with other local activists and campaigning experts, developing local actions tailored to your church or community. As an ACT participant, you can benefit from:

  • Three residential away-days including campaigning talks and workshops, to be held in Manchester, all expenses paid.
  • Flexible training and mentoring by Operation Noah to help you develop actions tailored to your community (eg church speaking engagements, hustings events or Bible studies).

If you’re eager to mobilise your church, church network or local community to engage with and act on climate justice issues, ACT communities is for you!

Operation Noah will sponsor three ACT trainees for 2018. If you’d like to apply, learn more or nominate someone elseĀ  who may be interested, please contact stephen.edwards@operationnoah.org.
