Job Title: Operation Noah Administrator

Hours: 5-7 hours per week, on average

Fee: The renumeration will be £20 per hour

Location: Home-based, with monthly visits to the London office

Deadline for the application: Wednesday, 11th September

Interviews: Wednesday, 18th September

Responsibilities of the role include:

Office Coordination:

Primary tasks:

  • Deal with requests for information and enquiries
  • Respond to requests for our resources – replying, logging, ordering materials and sending out
  • Liaise with Board members to identify suitable meeting dates; attend board meetings and produce agendas and minutes
  • Visit office monthly to discuss Bright Now campaign and admin issues
  • Administer and acknowledge donations and funding contributions in liaison with Treasurer

Secondary tasks:

  • Organise Google drive and Dropbox to efficiently store documents
  • Carry out other relevant tasks to support ON strategy, including research
  • Arrange and help in promoting events, conferences and supporters’ days, in liaison with the ON Board

Communications:

Primary tasks:

  • Respond to invitations to speak at churches and conferences

Secondary tasks:

  • Produce and disseminate communications materials in liaison with the Board and Communications Assistant
  • Help to produce a regular newsletter
  • Help communications assistant develop our social media presence to build relationships with supporters and media

Liaison:

Primary tasks:

  • Network with other organisations and, if required, liaise with the Christian media

Secondary tasks:

  • Attend local/national training, meetings and conferences in the UK climate change movement to represent ON

Organisational development (working with the Board):

Primary tasks:

  • Support the Board in advertising for and responding to applications for new board members, volunteers or staff

Secondary tasks:

  • Support the Board in identifying priorities and producing plans as necessary
  • Support the Board in developing the organisation’s long-term strategy and budget
  • Support the Board in making fundraising applications, and increasing our supporter- base
  • Engage supporters in volunteering, speaking and fundraising roles

Other:

  • Support campaign staff as required
  • Other reasonable tasks within the scope of the post

The administrator must be prepared to check emails at least 4 days per week and respond to most requests within 2 days.
