In this month’s newsletter, we revisit our recent global divestment announcement in which 31 faith institutions from six countries divested from fossil fuel companies. This latest announcement represents over $2 billion in assets under management. Institutions joining the announcement include the Diocese of London, Canterbury Cathedral, the Catholic diocese of Northampton and the Carmelite religious order.
We also highlight Operation Noah’s appearance in a recent Al Jazeera documentary on faith groups and environmental action, discuss a new Private Member’s Motion to the Church of England Synod on divestment, and revisit the ‘No Faith In Fossil Fuels’ service and pilgrimage that Operation Noah participated in as part of ‘The Big One’.
